Generally speaking, only people in the construction industry read their copy of Construction News Review (The CNR) with regularity but we are so thrilled that the CNR chose to cover our work at T-Rex Geospatial Space in the Historic Lammert Building in downtown St. Louis, MO. This completely wood-framed building is more than 120 years old and had fallen into disrepair and it was questionable if anyone would ever see the great value that it held in history to the City and to find someone willing to take a chance on the project. Blanton Construction was thrilled to be chosen as the contractor for the this work that was imagined and designed by Remiger Design. Blanton has worked in this building before just a couple of years ago, at that time on the 6th floor and this photo shows the work we just wrapped up on the 4th floor. For those of us at Blanton it was great to see the former beauty of this building restored. The gorgeous wood ceilings and wooden support beams were brought back to life to live again, but this time inside of a modern architectural design. It was the “ultimate in recycling” as we tore off old drywall and found the beauty within and brought it to life.
