Blanton Construction is a 51 year old construction management, design/build, and general contracting company with headquarters in the greater metropolitan St. Louis, MO area. We provide a wide range of services which include, pre-construction, general contracting, construction management, along with design/build and build to suit construction for industrial, commercial, retail, education/ institutional, senior care and federal/state markets.
From our inception in 1970, Ben Blanton’s philosophy has been based on the belief that integrity and excellence are the keys to a successful and ultimately profitable business. This philosophy of honesty and fairness extends to the relationships with all of our business contacts. We have a culture of respect for our customers, vendors, subcontractors and staff.

Experience
Beginning his company in 1970 as a residential builder and then moving into commercial construction by 1974, Blanton was turning architectural dreams into brick and mortar buildings. Two decades of successful commercial building led Blanton to seek additional types of building to satisfy the need for diversity within the company and building profession. The next area of pursuit was institutional and Lindenwood University’s bold plan was for state of the art buildings that would carry them into the future while blending with the old architecture of the 150 year old campus located in St. Charles, MO.
Blanton Construction was responsible for the construction management for building eight campus dormitories totaling over 400,000 square feet of building space, a 138,000 square foot Center for Performing Arts, the 117,000 square foot Evans Commons Campus Center and a major renovation for the Lindenwood Stadium and Lou Brock Sports Complex. The most recent addition to the Lindenwood St. Charles campus is the Library and Academic Resource Center with over 100,000 square foot of the latest technology and innovation housed inside a building that blends well with the nearly 200 year old buildings. A strategic & well-developed $250,000,000 plan has brought Lindenwood into the 21st century while maintaining its historic roots.
Blanton Construction has also completed more than 100 Walgreen’s Pharmacy stores, and a great number of both chain and independently owned fast food and family dining restaurants, gas & convenience stores and a wide variety of retail stores. In fact, repeat customers are a very large part of our business and we appreciate the relationship we have formed with so many of our clients. We also have enjoyed doing much repeat business building for Saks Fifth Avenue, completing a flagship store for them in 2016 and doing remodels in St. Louis, Missouri, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus Ohio, and Indianapolis, Indiana. Along with this high-end retail, Blanton also built some restaurants with which you are likely familiar and that often are often near retail development like Saks- such as Maggiano's, McCormick & Schmick's and Cantina Laredo to name a few.
