Blanton Construction completed work on the White Castle at Vandeventer and Chouteau Ave. in St. Louis. This new restaurant was constructed on the site of two former White Castles. The first was built in 1952 and the next was built in 1991. Demolition, site work and full construction of the new White Castle was accomplished in 120 days. This location in the Grove neighborhood had some unique requirements from other 18 White Castles built by Blanton. This particular location required a pedestrian friendly design and also the integration of a mural which is yet to be painted on the fence at the location. The Grove is a vibrant community that is home to many murals and this new White Castle is no exception. The painting of this dragon mural is slated for this Spring once the weather is consistently warmer and less wet. Specs of this new White Castle: 2793 sq. ft. Exterior is constructed of masonry brick with stone accents and there is indoor dining for 50 people plus 2 outdoor patio tables. Both the drive thru and inside dining are open for business 24/7.
The Opening Date for this new White Castle is March 3rd, 2018.
