Scrape & Rebuild QuikTrip completed & celebrating Grand Re-Opening 9/30/2021
Shown here is a QuikTrip Convenience Store & Fuel Center in St. Peters, MO. This project was a “complete scrape & rebuild”, which means we took down the store, pumps, fuel canopy and then dug out the old fuel tanks. Everything on this site is fresh & new. The only thing that remained the same was the address. We have had the great pleasure of building many of these units for the QuikTrip Corporation over the years. It’s such a great feeling knowing that our customers have a choice of who they could choose from a large group of GC’s in any given area, but a great brand like QuikTrip returns to us again & again. To us at Blanton Construction, this is trusted relationship is something we strive to win & keep. We want to be “your trusted partner in all of your building & remodeling decisions.” If you are looking to remodel, renovate or build new & want a General Contractor who cares as much about your construction project as you do, give us a call.
N’Bliss Cannabis Medical Marijuana Dispensary nearing completion
We are nearing completion on this very unique looking building we have been constructing for N’Bliss Cannabis Medical Marijuana Dispensary. As you can see by this photo, there are a couple of glass panels to still be installed & rack removed from the exterior. Inside we have a few finish carpentry items & the installation of some display cases. Making Quick Work out of QuikTrip
Anyone who has grabbed a quick meal at QuikTrip knows how good the food is, especially recently. QuikTrip has invested a great deal of time and money into the design of their new kitchens that we’ve been installing in all of the “scrape & rebuild” stores, as well as upgrading some stores existing stores with a “new & improved” kitchen. All of this effort is to make your experience as their customer a great one! As you can see by these photos, the kitchens are becoming much larger and with a greater variety of equipment for preparing the expanding variety of foods. QuikTrip is fast becoming “one stop” for both fuel & breakfast/ lunch or a snack. QuikTrip rolled out an App a couple of years ago now that makes ordering & picking up food even easier! No standing in lines at the store if you download & use the App. Instead you order & pay via the App, then pop into the store where your food is hot & ready for pick-up. We at Blanton Construction are delighted to be selected time & time again by QuikTrip to build their convenience stores & fueling centers. The one shown in this photo is located in Eureka, MO and will be completed within the next few weeks & opening to the public. Just as that one completes we will be breaking ground on another full scrape and rebuild QT in St. Peters, MO. We couldn’t be happier to be part of the construction / expansion of the great QuikTrip brand!
Responding correctly to snow & sub zero temps is vital in the construction process
We all wish every day cold be sunny & 70 degrees but living in the Midwest, we know that’s not possible. In February 2021 during the construction of this QuikTrip Convenience store & fueling center, our temps dropped well below zero for multiple days & we received approximately 7 inches of snow. It was so important to the overall success of the project that we lay insulation blankets on the pumps & fuel lines that had already been installed by our subcontractor to insure that they were protected. It’s things like this that separate a general contractor who builds multiple projects like this a year to “know” what safety measures must be employed for the good of the project, from someone with “lesser knowledge”. The photo on the right is a short two weeks AFTER the snow & ice had gone away & the blankets were removed. All of the pumps & fuel lines were in fine shape & we were able to get right back on to “business as per the construction schedule” and get gravel installed on the site in preparation for another concreter pour.
