There’s BIG NEWS in the Economic Development Plan for St. Charles, MO. David Leezer, the City’s Economic Development Director, recently participated in a number of site consultant call trips. These trips are part of the departments “new strategy” not only new businesses but also for attracting people from other cities to consider moving to St. Charles for employment.
In early May of this year, David Leezer joined Patick McKeehan of O’Fallon, MO and Lori Becklenberg of the St. Louis Missouri Chamber of Commerce to meet with site consultants in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Leezer also participated in two separate consultant trips. The first trip was to Columbus Ohio and the second to Indianapolis, IN. Both trips were hosted by the Missouri Partnership and Mr. Dennis Pruitt their Vice President. Then a few weeks later, David Leezer joined the Partnership’s Senior Vice President, Subash Alias for meeting with site consultants in Pittsburgh, PA and Cleveland, OH. David Leezer said “the trips established a first great step for the program’s new recruitment effort.” He continued by saying “Insuring the St. Charles brand was our primary purpose and we accomplished that task”.
This was indeed a great first step in a new direction for the Economic Development Plan to grow our area by attracting new businesses and new well qualified workers to our community. Anyone who follows the Economic Development of St. Charles and the St. Charles County region has heard David Leezer say “If it’s happening, it’s happening in St. Charles.” These trips put Missouri on the path to become the Best In the Midwest.
We at Blanton Construction are always very excited in fostering new business and a qualified workforce in our community and we applaud the Economic Development Department of St. Charles for their

San Francisco Temple before and after remodeling photos
It’s hard to believe that this is the same building when you first see the photos. To the left is before, very dated, dark and closed in and the remodeled version on the right side is now very modern, bright, light and open. What a difference a few weeks, the right plan and the right construction company can make! The congregation at San Francisco Temple was so pleased with the work that Blanton had done for them last year in their sanctuary that they again selected us for this entrance work and also the remodeling of all of the restrooms in the facility along with the corridors. This is a major upgrade to the church facilities and it will be enjoyed for years to come. Blanton Construction is so happy to have helped bring San Francisco Temple into the 21st century with this great looking remodel. Congratulations and best wishes to everyone at San Francisco Temple.

Art mural being installed at the new White Castle on Vandeventer
The Grove neighborhood in St. Louis is home to dozens of murals and now the new White Castle that was just built by Blanton is joining in on the art. What could be more appropriate to surround a castle than a dragon? The fence which surrounds the perimeter of this new White Castle will feature a large dragon mural. If you are in the area of Vandeventer and Chouteau, be sure to check out this mural and all of the other ones just within blocks of each other. They are really interesting. This particular White Castle is celebrating its Grand Opening on 3-3-2018. Why not stop in and “get what you crave!”
Blanton completes White Castle in The Grove Neighborhood
Blanton Construction completed work on the White Castle at Vandeventer and Chouteau Ave. in St. Louis. This new restaurant was constructed on the site of two former White Castles. The first was built in 1952 and the next was built in 1991. Demolition, site work and full construction of the new White Castle was accomplished in 120 days. This location in the Grove neighborhood had some unique requirements from other 18 White Castles built by Blanton. This particular location required a pedestrian friendly design and also the integration of a mural which is yet to be painted on the fence at the location. The Grove is a vibrant community that is home to many murals and this new White Castle is no exception. The painting of this dragon mural is slated for this Spring once the weather is consistently warmer and less wet. Specs of this new White Castle: 2793 sq. ft. Exterior is constructed of masonry brick with stone accents and there is indoor dining for 50 people plus 2 outdoor patio tables. Both the drive thru and inside dining are open for business 24/7.
The Opening Date for this new White Castle is March 3rd, 2018.
