It’s official! The QuikTrip just off of Hwy. 70 at Bryan Rd in St. Peters, MO just re-opened for business on Thursday, April the 25th at 6am. This store underwent what is called a “full scrape and rebuild”, which means nothing was really left from the former store, including the underground fuel tanks. In every way, this is a “new” store and not a remodel. This particular QuikTrip features the very popular QT Kitchen where there is a large variety of food selections and also a variety of ways to place your order. You can still simply come into the store, walk up to the QT Kitchen counter and order your food personally from one of the QT team members, or you can use one of the several self-serve ordering kiosks in the store or perhaps you are in a big hurry and it’s more convenient to order via the QT App on your smartphone so that your order will be ready for pickup when you arrive. QuikTrip truly strives to make your life easier by getting you in and out of the store quickly and with quality products. we at Blanton Construction are so happy that QuikTrip Corporation has once again entrusted us to build yet another one of their locations and we wish everyone at QuikTrip continued happiness and success!

Spring like temperatures this winter make for Quick Work at QuikTrip
For anyone passing this intersection frequently it would be impossible to not notice how quickly this QuikTrip went from being completely demolished to being the site of a brand new store and fueling island. Blanton Construction understands the value of “Revenue Days” and we know how eager the owners are to have this new store open and selling fuel and convenience items. If the store isn’t open, it isn’t generating revenue. We adhere to a tight construction schedule because time truly is money. This is the new fueling island at the QuikTrip on Bryan Rd. just off of Hwy. 70 in O’Fallon, MO. When QuikTrip contracts for a “scrape & rebuild” project it is exactly that. Everything old is taken out and completely replaced. Down to the fuel tanks that are dug up so that new ones can be installed. This project isn’t just some “pretty new sheeting” on an old building, it’s a complete demolition of the facilities and then a full rebuild. And to think QuikTrip does all of this to improve customer satisfaction with the aesthetics and performance of the individual unit. A better customer experience = more business via returning customers.

ATD Warehouse Expansion in Wentzville, MO
ATD Warehouse in Wentzville, MO has contracted for a large warehouse addition to their current facility. This large concrete pour pictured here was approx. 500 yards of concrete to provide the floor for this new space. In addition to the new warehouse space we are building for ATD, we are also installing new LED lighting into the existing warehouse in order to reduce energy cost, maintenance and better lighting overall. It was important to the owners that the transition from the existing to new warehouse be as seamless as possible and the lighting aspect was very important to achieving this goal.
Spellmann Center at Lindenwood University undergoes interior remodeling
Big changes are taking place inside the Spellman Center on the Lindenwood University Campus in St. Charles, MO. Blanton Construction is currently remodeling space on the third floor so that very soon it will house offices for Admissions, Academic Affairs, the International Student Center, Business Office and Student Financial Services. This very large expanse of space that Blanton is creating for this project will make the space feel open and inviting and make it the “doorway” to the university for both prospective and returning students. The goal was to create an “easy in and easy out” for all of the University students so that all within one area, they could do everything from request a transcript to finalize financial aid documents. Blanton Construction originally built the Spellman Center in 2002 where it quickly became the center of the University and for years and has served as the hub for the communications students. We are excited for the added benefits that this space will bring to Lindenwood University and so happy to be part of their continued growth and development.
Open House at Banfield Pet Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO
What a nice event Banfield Pet Hospital in Richmond Heights put on in celebration of opening of their latest location at 63678 Clayton Road. In addition to all the decorations, giveaways and food, the staff gave such informative tours of the facilities eager to answer any question that visitors had. Each treatment room was set up with a “faux fur baby patient” (as shown in the photo here) and explanations outlining common procedures and how they are performed. The staff was both friendly and knowledgeable and we hope anyone residing in the area who is in need of veterinary services will stop in and see what Banfield has to offer. We are so pleased to have worked for Banfield yet again and wish them much success!
City of St. Charles Economic Department Office Update
There’s BIG NEWS in the Economic Development Plan for St. Charles, MO. David Leezer, the City’s Economic Development Director, recently participated in a number of site consultant call trips. These trips are part of the departments “new strategy” not only new businesses but also for attracting people from other cities to consider moving to St. Charles for employment.
In early May of this year, David Leezer joined Patick McKeehan of O’Fallon, MO and Lori Becklenberg of the St. Louis Missouri Chamber of Commerce to meet with site consultants in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Leezer also participated in two separate consultant trips. The first trip was to Columbus Ohio and the second to Indianapolis, IN. Both trips were hosted by the Missouri Partnership and Mr. Dennis Pruitt their Vice President. Then a few weeks later, David Leezer joined the Partnership’s Senior Vice President, Subash Alias for meeting with site consultants in Pittsburgh, PA and Cleveland, OH. David Leezer said “the trips established a first great step for the program’s new recruitment effort.” He continued by saying “Insuring the St. Charles brand was our primary purpose and we accomplished that task”.
This was indeed a great first step in a new direction for the Economic Development Plan to grow our area by attracting new businesses and new well qualified workers to our community. Anyone who follows the Economic Development of St. Charles and the St. Charles County region has heard David Leezer say “If it’s happening, it’s happening in St. Charles.” These trips put Missouri on the path to become the Best In the Midwest.
We at Blanton Construction are always very excited in fostering new business and a qualified workforce in our community and we applaud the Economic Development Department of St. Charles for their
